Which Country's Largest Software Pirates?


In research recently released the Business Software Alliance (BSA), Indonesia is placed in a position to-11 to the affairs of the world's largest software piracy with the percentage of 87%. So who occupies the first position as the largest pirate?

In second place is the name of Zimbabwe with 91%. Followed by Yemen, Bangladesh, and Moldova was third with a percentage level of software piracy in their respective countries 90%.

While China and Russia are in the position of runner-up and third with losses to reach $ 7.7 billion and USD 2.8 billion.

Commercial value of illegal software in the Asia Pacific region alone reached USD 18.7 billion. While globally, the value of software piracy soared to a record USD 59 billion, nearly doubled since 2003.

Half of 116 areas studied in 2010 has a piracy level of 62 percent or more, where the average global piracy rate reached 42 percent which is the second highest level during the study of history.

This global software piracy study is a study conducted by IDC for BSA with the eighth time. The methodology used in this study combines the separate data input 182 of the 116 countries and territories around the world.

This year's study also includes two new public opinion survey of PC users on the attitudes and social behaviors associated with software piracy, conducted by Ipsos Public Affairs.
