Fish Detector Earthquake in Japan
Large tsunami struck the east coast of Japan on March 11, 2011 earlier. The disaster happened after a massive earthquake with a strength of 8.9 on the Richter Scale.
Japan's emergency safety systems, when the tsunami hit, seemed to work well to give a warning to its people. However, it seems that an early warning system was still less quickly with warnings delivered by the group of fish OAR (oarfish).
The signs of the disaster, seemed to have felt a week before the incident by a group of oarfish. Swarm of fish were found stranded on the coasts of Japan, a week before the tsunami swept the east coast of Japan.
Incident, written by dailyonigiri.com pages. The page was written, a week before the big quake and tsunami, which swept oarfish found many on the mainland coast of Japan and partly entangled in fishing nets. Previously, the pages of The Telegraph also ran an article about oarfish who come to the surface before the big quake in Chile and Haiti in 2010 ago.
Interestingly, this oarfish thought to be able to detect the occurrence of large earthquakes. Why is that?
Oarfish normally live in the sea with a depth of 1 km (more than 3,000 feet). This extremely rare species of fish found alive at sea with a depth of less than 200 meters above sea level. This fish can grow to the length approximately 17 meters (56 feet).
According to the ancient customs of Japan, these fish swim to the surface and the beach as a harbinger of the coming earthquake.
In addition, there is also a scientific theory which says the animals are more sensitive to move to the surface than in humans.
Some scientists believe the fish that live in the deep ocean is very sensitive to movement of the earth and usually always precede the occurrence of earthquakes. Nevertheless, most seismologists do not see the scientific connection between the phenomenon oarfish with earthquakes.
But, whether it is possible the fish know what is happening beneath the surface? In ancient times, when not yet have the sophisticated equipment, the Japanese people believe in some fish, especially catfish, as a sign of impending disaster.
