10 000 year-old spear found

A number of archaeologists discovered the great hope on the sidelines of the spring that hit the southern United States. In Florida, exactly, about an hour drive from Tampa to the south, scientists found that in the days of ancient cultural heritage.

In the midst of exploration and excavation in the vicinity of Little Salt Spring, in the southern part of Sarasota Country, a team of divers from Florida Aquarium and the University of Miami were surprised by the discovery of spear rest of life in ancient times.

Archaeologists estimate the spears are aged less than 10,000 years ago. These findings further convince them that in the vicinity of the location of the discovery of spear were a lot of "garbage" which is a remnant of prehistoric existence of ancient life in the past.

What makes an underground site that is unique to imuwan is because of the water that had been buried as deep as 250 feet from the past, and does not contain oxygen. Thus, there are no microbes or bacteria that survive and destroy these relics.

"We managed to find amazing artifacts, which can not be found elsewhere, because the water environment here is very unique," said John Gifford, a specialist underwater archaeologist from the University of Miami, who quoted from Stone Pages VIVAnews, Monday 21 March 2011.

He said, no scientist has ever found the spear in good condition before. Besides the spear, there are wood and charcoal were found nearby. He was estimated to 9300 years.

The findings of the archaeologists will be taken to Texas A & M University, which is known to have the most prestigious departments in terms of water conservation of artifacts. "If you meet certain conditions, these artefacts not impossible to display at the museum," said Gifford.
