Samsung and Intel duet to create a new mobile operating system. OS-based open source HTML 5 is given the code name Tizen. Could eventually compete with Android or iPhone?
Occurrences Tizen assessed as the end of the OS MeeGo. MeeGo Intel-developed with Nokia apparently had been labeled a failure. Especially after Nokia as key partners even 'cheating' to Windows Phone.
Tizen scheduled to be released in 2012. In addition to smartphones, this new platform will also be approached intention tablet computers, smart television to entertainment systems in vehicles.
"We believe the future is in HTML-based applications 5, and we believe we need to shift investment toward HTML 5," he explained in a blog project that Tizen quoted from TechRadar, Wednesday (28/09/2011).
Tizen apparently intended as an alternative to the Android OS and the IOS is currently rampant. Will Tizen success or even suffer the same fate as MeeGo? We'll wait.
