Why Dizziness After Eating Meat?


Not uncommon for people to feel dizzy after eating some types of meat such as goat meat. Why did it happen? Poorer, that caused by iron content and tyramin exist in the flesh.

Symptoms of headache and dizziness are the effects of lack of intake of sugar to the brain, which is food for the brain to work properly. Eat lots of meat protein content can reduce the intake of sugar to the brain. But the causes of dizziness are most often found in people who eat meat goat is tyramin substances and iron.

According to the National Poison Control Center, the symptoms usually appear due to iron overload are dizziness, nausea, weakness, headache and shortness of breath. Genetic disorder called hemchromatosis also can cause the body to produce excess iron. People who have this genetic abnormality need to do low-iron diet of meat, should not be taking an iron supplement or replacement of blood (phlebotomy).

Not only iron, is another headache-triggering substances tyramin.In addition to red meat, cheese tyramin much present in stored and red wine. Symptoms of dizziness and headache usually appear 12 hours after consuming these foods. As quoted from Healthscout, The Food and Nutrition at the Institute of Medicine suggested that red meat consumption should be limited to between 8-18 mg per day.
